We have both lived in Glendale, AZ for nearly five decades. In 2018 we celebrated a special milestone when our home turned 100! Our craftsman bungalow style house is located in Historic Catlin Court, Glendale's original neighborhood and is listed on the National Register. Tree lined sidewalks, picket fences and welcoming front porches provide a glimpse into the past. Just blocks from our neighborhood is Historic Downtown Glendale. The must-see downtown is the heart of our city and features a collection of boutiques and specialty shops, one-of-a-kind eateries, museums, public art, antique stores and award-winning festivals and events.
Three years ago, we opened a specialty boutique called Memory Lane Trinkets and Treasures. Located at 5836 W. Palmaire Ave., the shop features nine rooms, each with it's own theme. Since opening in 2019, we are honored to be a business incubator for more than 160 local artisans and makers. From pottery to oil painting, photography to fused glass, our incredibly talented makers range in age from 16 to 95. Each artisan brings their own unique and creative style to their one-of-a-kind pieces. The shop is also home to the Arizona Information Center. www.MemoryLaneTrinketsandTreasures.com
In October 2022, we were thrilled and honored to purchase The Spicery Tearoom. This treasured restaurant has been open for more than 30 decades. We are continuing the delicious traditions of the original recipes including the famous homemade rolls! We'd love to see you for lunch or the three-course tea experience.
We spend our free time exploring the authentic treasures and unique gems found throughout the city. We also grab as much time as possible sitting on our front porch enjoying the sights and sounds of our surroundings. If you are in the neighborhood, please join us for an iced tea on the front porch and you will soon see the charm of this quaint gem that we are honored to call our hometown.
Happy Day,
Bud & Lorraine (and Elvis & Priscilla!)
